drugs, everyone's doing drugs

To be fair Ray Lewis used the stuff but there wasn't a picture as funny of him and the stories are basically intertwined.

It's Superbowl week so what's everyone talking about? Deer antler extract of course! S.W.A.T.S., an alternative medicine... Thing... says Ray Lewis called and asked about stuff he could take to speed up the recovery of a torn tricep earlier in the season. Lewis ended up taking a spray, that you spray under the tongue, containing deer antler extract which contains IGF-1 a banned substance by the NFL.

Ray Lewis for his part completely denies everything, of course. Saying that it wasn't worth commenting about. In a recorded voice mail message via SI, Lewis asks what he's supposed to do with the stuff:
"Spray on my elbow every two hours?" Lewis asked.
"No," Ross (the owner of the company) says, "under your tongue."
The spray in question.  The website barely loads now and there's a notice that due to high demand orders will take extra long.
Will anything really come from this, it's doubtful. Lewis has escaped much worse accusations. Now there are reports that Alabama players have also used the spray. There are still a lot of questions that need answered like what does deer antler taste like and what the hell this is supposed to do:
a "performance and recovery light"
In related news Alex Rodriguez has been accused of being a part of a big HGH ring in Miami. As everyone knows A-Rod previously admitted to using the stuff a while back and if this thing pans out it'll be really bad for the embattled Yankee slugger.

"mmmmmmmm these drugs are so good". Maybe don't eat your drugs in broad daylight??
As it is he's probably never getting into the HoF and the Yankees are already trying to get out of paying him millions of dollars on his contract. It's unlikely that they'll be able to get out of his contract completely but it'll be interesting to see which team might make a deal.

  1. I've read that insurance companies may pay the Yankees 85% of his remaining salary.
