guy with hair beats guy with less hair. hoody

Yeah it's not from that game but any excuse to post this.
I'm not afraid to admit Tom Brady is my man-crush. Also the Patriots have to be the Alabama of the NFL just like Belichick is the Saban of the NFL. They're both the same thing, consistently win all the freakin' time and make everyone not the fans tired of seeing them. They jelly, they jelly.

The big story in this game, besides Brady becoming the QB with the most playoff wins was injuries sustained by New England and them simply finding other ways to win.

The biggest of course is Pats' leading scorer, Gronk who looked like he reinjured the same left arm (he has several) which lead to him not being able to play for 5 weeks. The news coming out is that he's done for the remainder of the season which would be a set-back if the Pats make it to the Superbowl. Welker looked really good in this game and that weird thing earlier in the season where him and Belichick had some kind of lovers quarrel seems like a distant memory now.

Another surprising part of this game was third string running back Shane Vereen who stepped it up in a big way accounting for 3 total touchdowns, doing most of it through receptions.

That's a big part of what makes New England so good, when someone can't do their part they will find someone who can take their place no matter how far down the depth chart they need to go.

Matt Schaub looked good in this game despite the loss, while Arian Foster certainly did his part, accounting for two touchdowns through the air and on the ground.

In the end though a determined Patriots team was too much for mere mortals.

Next up the Pats play the Ravens in a rematch of last years AFC title where the Ravens were one dropped pass away from the Superbowl. The Patriots have to be huge favorites in this one by 10 points at least I'd guess.

Go Harbowl.
