grab some coffee, this news is hella boring

On October 1st, 2011 one of the great games in college football occurred at Ohio Stadium. The Ohio State Buckeyes played a game against Michigan State that the fans, all 100,000 of them would never forget. The final score, 10-7 MSU with not a single point scored for 2 quarters was a true classic Big 10 defensive struggle.

Michigan State today hired legendary Jim Tressel disciple Jim Bollman as it's new offensive coordinator.

Having played against Bollman for years on the other side of the field, the Spartans are well aware of what he can bring to the table.

Punting on 4th and 1 on the 30 yard line? Straight runs up the middle on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down? The Bollman tool box is bottomless.

Here's a preview of what Spartan fans can expect:

Awwwwwwww yeah "video game numbers"

I can't even read that it's so boring, my eyes are punishing me.

Dennis Rodman in Best Korea

I don't think any of those were on the official list of Dear Leader approved hairstyles.

Apparently Dennis Rodman who I could have sworn died in a tire fire a couple years back is alive and well and taking his talents to Southbeach Best Korea.

the value of your sports dollar

C.R.E.A.M.
As the Lakers try desperately to even get into the playoffs this year, Jerry Buss must be spinning in his grave, if he's even in it yet. You would think with all the superstars and huge names on their team that winning would be a given, but time again we see that just because you pay huge amounts of money victory isn't assured. That got me thinking about money in sports and just how much of an effect it has. If money was the be all end all the Lakers would be champions every single year, so would the Yankees. Anyway, I looked up some stuff and made a post about it.

Is it August yet?

It's only February and already the off-season lull is taking it's toll. I'm going to take a page from FanyPack and just post some of the most shocking headlines from around the world in college football.

list of things what manti te'o did is worse than

Forbes magazine released their list of the most disliked athletes and while a lot of them were really obvious choices like Lance Armstrong, Michael Vick, Metta "Ron Artest" Worldpeace, and Tiger Woods the inclusion of Manti Te'o on there was a bit puzzling to me. Don't get me wrong I understand why he's on there but the fact you're going to include a harmless hoax thing on there with the shit some of those other people did is kind of stupid. And the fact he's tied for first is really stupid. Did people actually pay attention to what he did? I'm just going to assume this was more a popularity contest then a "rank the people by how big of a shit heel they are contest".

But anyway here's a lit of the things that what Manti Te'o did is worse than:

Caring deeply about the decision some kid makes

Honestly I've never paid much attention to recruiting but since I started this blog it's come to my attention that apparently recruiting is sort of a big deal to college football. I don't know I just can't get that excited about where some kid decides to go to school and following them on twitter or Facebook just seems creepy. That being said here are the two biggest recruits Ohio State is looking at:

e: Dontre Wilson is a Buckeye!!!
e2: so is Vonn Bell!!!

post superbowl chat

Random thoughts about the game:

Guess the ESPN map!

No it's not a map from some Conservative blog fantasizing over how they want election maps to look.

Hint: it has to do with the first ever dual head-coach interview for the Super Bowl. It's kind of obscure, mainly I just wanted to post an all red map.

Answer

Super Bowl! With bonus pistol chat

Between intense analysis of Ronaiah Tuiasosopo's voice to see whether or not he's the voice of the fake dead girlfriend behind the Te'o hoax, people making asses themselves discussing gays in the locker room, deer antlers, and Miami health clinics it's easy to forget that there's actually a football game on Sunday.
