Random thoughts about the game:
- The Sandy Hook thing was shameful exploitation. I don't like kids choruses to begin with but that just incredibly awkward and weird.
- Alicia Keys national anthem was alright, went on for a while but I didn't mind it.
- Watching the stream on CBS I was spared the commercials so... Can't talk about that. Saw the GODADDY.com one and fucking hell? Really?
- Akers missed field goal was bad, obviously, but it wasn't the difference in the game despite the score.
- Plenty of giffable Jim Harbaugh moments.
- Refs were really letting players go nuts out there. Unbelievable Williams didn't get tossed after shoving a ref.
- re: lights going out. Where was Ray Lewis during it? Was anyone shanked?
- The lights going out obviously effected the game, swinging the momentum in favor of the Niners. Thankfully the Ravens held on so that's not what everyone is talking about.
- Destiny's Child reunion owned
- Crabtree was very obviously held at the end but it was inline with the refs letting them play it out. I guess they were consistent at least.
- The safety at the end was hilarious and there was so much holding going on I don't know what.
- Flacco was awesome and deserved MVP as well as the millions of dollars he's going to get.
- Kaepernick was really good too. Don't know why they didn't let him try to run it in at the end instead of going three and out to Crabtree.
- I was dead on with my pick!! ... If you add ten points to each side...
- Apparently there was a prop bet for the lights going out 100,000 to 1.
- If God is real why did Ray Lewis get another ring? One for each victim, or so I'm told.
- It was cool to see Ted Ginn Jr. play good in a Super Bowl despite his return there at the end.
- Awesome game and cool to see a team not named Green Bay, New England, Giants, or Steelers win a Super Bowl.
- As someone from Ohio though, fuck the Ravens.
