Dabo Sweeney's love of all things God is well known among college football fans but some of the stuff coming out is down right weird.

Two years ago Sweeney held an impromptu baptism for receiver Deandre Hopkins after a practice. More recently however there are allegations Sweeney invited James Trapp to become team chaplain in violation of the university constitution and gave him access to the entire team for bible studies.
People wearing their religion on their sleeves is nothing new in football, Tebow and Kurt Warner among others. Oh and Ray Lewis... However it is a little different when it's a coach and not to mention this is a public university which puts it into an entirely new context.
With so many kids on a team chances are at least a couple of them either worship a different God or don't believe in God at all and they might feel pressured into attending a bible study or whatever or lose playing time.
I know I can't wait to see how this turns up but I can guarantee there will be lots of "Christians being persecuted" shit bandied about and yet if Sweeney was Muslim I can guaran-fucking-tee you these people would not be supporting him. Ah shoot looks like it's already started.
