The gist of it is a while ago Kraft, the Patriots owner, visited with Putin along with a bunch of other rich ass holes. At some point Kraft let Putin "see" his ring and he never gave it back. At the time he said he gave it to him as a sign of faith or something to Russia, but now he's changing his story. Apparently after giving Putin the ring he pocketed it and some KGB goons sort of walked him out.
Kraft claims he was pressured by the gubmint not to make a scene about to not cause strain on Russia-American relations.
